Action Dismissed Against Initial Investor on Loan

Reason for retaining Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. : The insureds’ borrower, O, claimed that his sister forged a power of attorney, with which she gave the mortgage to the insureds on O’s property. Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. was immediately retained to protect the validity of the power of attorney in protecting the interests of the insureds.

Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. got the action discontinued as against one of the insureds (WaMu) by proving that although WaMu was the holder of the loan for a short period of time, WaMu’s limited involvement with the loan after its inception was not a strong enough basis upon which to compel WaMu to defend this action. Shortly thereafter, the action was stayed due to the death of Plaintiff O.
