High Schooler Gains Marketing Experience through Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Internship

I am Melissa Wilson. I’m from New Milford, New Jersey, and I go to New Milford High School.

What are your goals career-wise as of right now?

I’m still weighing out my options to really figure out what I’m most passionate about. I have a bunch of different ideas

Can you tell us what your affiliation with Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C is?

Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. went to Melbourne High School, as I do.

What role did you play here at Adam Levine Bailey, P.C.?

I did some administrative work helping with the client list, and I also did creative work with Annabel Tassadar with holiday lists and such.

Did you get the experience you wanted out of this internship?

Yes, I did. I really, really enjoyed working here. It helped me grow up and do things more on my own and rely on myself as opposed to always asking what I should do.

What was your experience like? And would you go in-depth about what your experience was working with Annabel, or working on the website, or the creative work that you did for the holiday packages for our clients?

It was very interesting. I didn’t know what to expect when I came here, and they were very open. They taught me what I should do and how to do it, and let me also have my creative side. They were open to my ideas as well.

Which test did you enjoy here at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. the most?

I really enjoyed working with everybody. Everybody here was wonderful to work with, and they took their time to teach you everything. It was fun. It was work, and you had to work hard. But I enjoyed everything.

Do you think this is going to give you leverage over other high school students that are going to apply to college?

I would think so, but I think they work hard. They get the opportunities.

Did you get to work with Adam directly while you were interning here?

Yes, I did. I got to sit in Adam’s office as I worked, and I got to experience what it was like and how he worked and such. I also had to work with him for the holiday packages and some things with the website as well.

Can you tell us a little bit about something that you learned here that you think you’ll take with you and that will help you in your life and your career?

I learned that I should trust myself in what I am doing and not always rely on everybody else. I know what I’m doing, and I can trust myself with those.

That’s great. Can you tell us what your most memorable moment here was?

My most memorable moment was when I first came here, and everybody was just so friendly. Everybody introduced themselves and made it very welcoming and easy just to fit right in. Everybody seemed interested, and they just seemed very warm and kind.

Can you tell us the top three skills you learned while working here? It could be personal skills or skills that you already had but you enhanced while interning here?

My top three skills and gain while being here were organizational skills, I’ve become more independent, and my creative side has also expanded.

Wonderful. Do you have any comments for future interns or about working here in general?

For future interns, I recommend to definitely work to the best of your ability and to speak out and say what you’re thinking. Don’t be afraid to hold back. They value everybody’s opinion, and they want to be heard. They could be used, and they should work to the best, best of their ability.

They do give you that opportunity. They give you more privileges, let you expand and let you grow and such.

Do you feel that you’re going to walk out of here more confident and capable than when you walk walked in?

Yes, I do.

Thank you, Melissa
