Adam Leitman Bailey Awards Three High School Seniors with the Sixth Annual Raymond “Hap” Harrison Scholarship

Adam Leitman Bailey named Aissatou Diallo, Keilon La Barrie and Jennifer Teets the sixth annual recipients of the Raymond “Hap” Harrison Scholarship.

Adam Leitman Bailey started this scholarship in honor of his high school cross country and track coach, Raymond “Hap” Harrison. The scholarship is awarded annually to a High School graduate that will be attending college. Mr. Bailey is a 1988 graduate of New Milford High School.

To receive the Harrison accolades, a recipient must possess many of the ideals and traits that Raymond
Harrison instilled in Adam Leitman Bailey. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need and strong academic achievement, while at the same time pursuing Mr. Harrison’s deep-seated values of success and the desire to make the world a better place through helping others.

Aissatou Diallo is a member of the 2013 graduating class of Benjamin Banneker Academy. Ms. Diallo was a paid intern at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. for the 2012-2013 academic year through the Futures and Options program which helps underserved youth explore careers and guides them to further education. Ms Diallo graduates in the top 5% of her class and plans to attend Hunter College in the fall.

Keilon La Barrie is a member of the 2013 graduating class of George Westinghouse High School. Mr. La Barrie was also a paid intern at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. for the 2012-2013 academic year selected through the Futures and Options program.Mr. La Barrie graduates in top 10% of his class and plans to attend Buffalo State College in the fall.

Jennifer Teets is a member of the 2013 graduating class at New Milford High School. Ms. Teets was a paid intern at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. for the summer of 2012. She was chosen through a program where the principal and teachers select one student out of the entire school to receive this internship opportunity. Ms. Teets graduates second in her class in addition to being an outstanding track and soccer athlete. In the fall she plans to attend The College of New Jersey.

The Raymond “Hap” Harrison Scholarship is funded through the Building Foundations charity, founded by Adam Leitman Bailey in 2008. The charity’s mission is to assist students of all ages in pursuing their professional and personal dreams by providing financing, scholarships, education, internships, real life experience as well as providing the tools to reach these dreams. The scholarship is currently paying college tuition for five students in addition to the three new recipients.
