Dear loyal patrons and friends of Zum Schneider,
With joy and great satisfaction we announce that our landlord’s attempt to terminate our lease has failed. Instead we’ve achieved a settlement agreement signed by both parties. The settlement was so-ordered by State Supreme Court Judge Rolando T. Acosta on March 15th 2007 who also ordered the injunctive relief permitting Zum Schneider to avoid an eviction. Besides minor details,the settlement states the extension of the lease for Zum Schneider until 2021 including the landlords consent to maintain the sidewalk cafe.
With hard work, great lawyers and of course your everlasting support, not only with 3,800 signatures on the petition but also with the ongoing “cheers” and “good luck” wishes and encouragements, we’ve achieved this great result.
