IN DEPTH PODCAST: Surfside condo collapse: What we know, and is this a warning for NYC?

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A week after a tragic collapse in Miami, rescue crews continue to search for bodies under a mountain of rubble and debris. With more than a dozen dead and hundreds missing, we are left wondering what exactly happened, and can it happen in New York City?

This week, we’ll talk to Washington Post reporter Meryl Kornfield, who is in Surfside covering the tragedy. We also speak to structural engineer Allyn Kilsheimer, who Surfside hired to figure out what went wrong. Kilsheimer had done this before when he investigated 9/11.

We will also hear from Cameron Lory, from ARC PC in New York City, a company that does forensic work determining structural problems in New York. And lastly, we chat with attorney Steve Wagner, managing partner at Wagner, Berkow, and Brandt, to learn what building information owners and renters have access to.
