Adam Leitman Bailey Speaks on business interruption Insurance pandemic issues for American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

On May 4th, Adam Leitman Bailey presented to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers an engaging lecture on business interruption insurance affected by the COVID pandemic.  The discussion covered which insurance policies would provide coverage as a result of the the pandemic under the social distancing orders. In addition, he discussed the basics of qualifying for such insurance and the physical impact requirement.  Second, he discussed unique arguments to qualify for such coverage explaining how a the transfer of the virus could possible be used and past case law that has supported such an argument.  

Adam Leitman Bailey also went over several insurance policy forms and endorsements and the chances of having an insurance company provide business interruption insurance coverage and why.  Finally, he discussed the various class action cases filed and their merits as well as pending State and Federal legislation.​​​​​
