Testimonials

“Adam was hardworking, persistent, and dedicated throughout the duration of our case.”

On February 7th, 2003, we were forced from our homes, along with several other tenants, by an emergency vacate order issued by the NYC Department of Buildings. Our building had sustained damage during a construction project in an adjacent lot. We were given three hours on a snowy afternoon to gather a few of our belongings and essentials before being turned onto the streets. Our landlord and the construction company both turned onto the streets. Our landlord and the construction company both turned a blind-eye to our predicament and refused to help us in any way. In the days and months that followed, all they succeeded in doing was pointing the finger of blame at one another rather than trying to rectify the problem so that we could return to our homes. After securing the legal services of Adam Leitman Bailey our situation finally began to change.

Adam fought hard for us both in and outside of the courtroom. He forced our landlord take responsibility for their part in the situation and to behind the necessary repairs to our building that they were legally obligated to make. Adam insured that our building was made safe for the tenants who remained there, and helped to expedite the repairs that enabled the vacated tenants to return to their homes. He even succeeded in getting our landlord to pay for our legal costs.

Adam was hardworking, persistent, and dedicated throughout the duration of our case. Furthermore, he was always accessible and helpful when his council was needed. He consistently found the time to talk with us, answering all of our questions and offering his expert advice. We are really grateful for all of his assistance and guidance. Without his help there is no telling how long our struggle would have lasted. We would like to thank him for his dedication to our cause and offer our recommendation to others who may be in need.

Sincerely,
