My name is Scott Doherty, my role is legal extern, and I’ve been working here since the beginning of January.
The passion that all of the attorneys have for real estate, I feel like I’ve learned a lot working here, substantively about the law and I’ve also learned a lot about what it takes to be a successful attorney.
In terms of my work, I assist the attorneys on their cases and I mainly write legal memos related to issues of law that they are dealing with; that they include me on their cases I really appreciate that, and that I get to learn a lot.
The fact that I’ve learned and progressed. I feel that I’ve put myself in a better position to be a successful attorney in the future through my research projects here and through learning how to be a lawyer in NYC.
The passion. So I’ve worked in only one other firm, but it was a very large firm and I feel that everyone here seems very invested in their work, very passionate, very committed to success.
