“A great place for new, young attorneys to start out!”

“Hands-on” College Internship at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. Leads to Success at Top Law School

Hi, my name is Natalie Puzio, I work for Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college. Right now I am a 2L at Fordham Law School in Manhattan.

Q. What is the office like at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.?

In Adam’s office, new attorneys are really able to dive in and work with a variety or people, it’s a really diverse working place. When I was an intern, I was able to work with new attorneys who are just starting out, recent  law school graduates, I was able to work with Adam directly myself and all of the different partners here. They were really open to new projects I wanted to work on, and they were so warm and welcoming and were really helpful in helping me learn what I needed to do, and really helpful with feedback. It was a great place for new you attorneys to start out, because they were really able to explore what kind of things they want to work on and really see the different types of attorneys working here.

Q. What was your personal experience at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.?

I had a great experience working for Adam’s office. I was a legal intern, I worked for the entire summer and it was a great experience. I was able to work in both the transactional and litigation departments, and it was unlike any other internship I’ve had before. I was able to directly work, the first day have hands on experience where I was already getting work with the different attorneys and paralegals. I was immediately already able to see courtroom trials, I was watching depositions and I was able to work on a variety of projects. I was able to do some legal research and  able to help in the transactional department. In the transactional department, I was able to work on different leases and different mortgages and co-ops, and it was a great experience. I was able to be open to a variety of fields in real estate law.

Q. How has working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. affected your future plans?

From my summer of working at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. I was thinking about going to law school, but I was unsure yet, but by the end of the summer, I was planning on going t law school. This is the type of firm that you can definitely come here kind of on the fence about going to law school and it will definitely convince you to go. This place is filled with attorneys who are very passionate about what they do and they’re more than happy to work k with new people coming in and show them what its like to work as an attorney on a daily basis. In college and law school there’s a lot of theoretical work, kind of reading and sometimes it can get very, very dry, but at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. you’re able to jump right in to hand on work and see really what are the ins and outs of working in a law office, so that was a great experience. Adam is a great resource, not only for people that work for him, but also for personally helping anyone who’s ever worked for him with their personal successes. After my internship with Adam, the following summer he got me a great internship with a judge and I was able to see what it would be like to be in a courtroom every  single day. Not only was he great to work with, but he was also just so helpful in following your career and making yourself as successful as you can be.

Q. Final takeaways.

Adam’s office is a really great place to explore your passion for the law, you’re able to see the different types of ways that the law you want to get into. Real estate itself is a really exciting type of law, and its something I could potentially see myself doing definitely in the future.
