I’m reaching out at the recommendation of Barbara Corcoran, who suggested I contact you because, and I quote, “you scare the pants off any landlord.”
Very long story short, we live in Peter Cooper Village, and have been residents of Stuy Town/PCV for more than 10 years. We had a baby last year and upgraded from Stuy Town to move to PCV for more space and better community living, as Stuy Town was becoming a bit dorm like. We moved in Feb 2014, and in June 2014, new tenants moved in above us and have made our lives a living hell ever since with endless noise and a few violent domestic disputes we have been privy to living underneath them. That said, [redacted] never handled the situation properly in the beginning which led to them filing a nuisance case against them, unbeknownst to us, but requiring our cooperation in the case without ever consulting us. So we had to end up retaining our own legal counsel to help navigate through this messy situation, but don’t necessarily feel like they can help us any longer.
