My name is Michelle Brown I’m currently a 3L at New York Law School. I am a summer associate here at the firm. I started here as a legal extern in January so I have been at the firm for about 7 months.
What I enjoy most about the day to day work and the firm in general is the blunt of the people and the work that I am able to do every single day. Everyone in the office is very encouraging and everyone is like a family which makes coming to work exciting. Its a happy place to be. I also really enjoy the work I get to do because I am able to draft a lot of litigation documents that I normally would not be able to do in a classroom.
My proudest accomplishment since I’ve been here was actually while I was working as a legal extern. I assisted an attorney with the research and drafting of a motion to dismiss in the 2nd circuit which was ultimately granted. I thought that was very cool as a 2L law student has a motion granted in the 2nd circuit.
I think what sets this firm apart from other firms is the company culture all of the attorneys are very willing to help and they truly want the externs and summer associates to learn. Everyone is a family and everything about the company culture really makes the firm a good place to be.
The best advice I can give to someone looking to joining the firm is to come to work every single day motivated and ready to learn. Because of that mindset I think they will be able to go far and excel in their future careers
