My name is Edwin George, and I have been an intern at ALB for the last ten months or so. What I enjoy the most is that I’m always busy. I always have something to do. I’m not the type of person to sit around, not doing anything. I’m always busy and on the go.
This firm definitely has a fun, family environment, where everyone gets along pretty well and as soon as you walk in through the door, people are greeting you with a big smile on your face and they’re all just really friendly. Of course, for the high performing high school interns, the firm does offer scholarships towards your college application.
One of the most valuable things that I’ve learned is how to be flexible and most definitely how to not be quick to say no, but say I can’t help you right now but if you come back in a few minutes, I can help you.
My proudest accomplishment is being able to become an essential part of the company—performing my daily tasks with ease and just being able to work with everybody and just be essential to the company.
For any future interns or associates, I would just recommend that you would be ready to work. This is not the environment that you come and you think you have some time off. You always have something to do, you have to be ready to work. And that’s just everyday. That’s every minute of today.
