So I manage properties for a building, more specifically reposition properties for a living.
What brought us to Adam Leitman Bailey was his reputation of being a tenacious and superior attorney.
How did you hear about Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.?
Through people in the business, you know you get into the business, you run into a few issues, you are looking for somebody who has a reputation for not only being a great attorney but a professional ally, someone who provides results. That is what brought us to this firm.
Can you describe some of the legal work Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. has provided for you?
We can talk about non pays where tenants have refused payments for one reason or another for four years, going on, Adam steps in early on, and is able to work agreements out with opposing councils, legal aid, paid for attorney and it has really bridged that gap that we may not be able to do, to translate the legal jargon and to provide us with results which are beneficial for everyone.
What stands out for us and keeps us coming back to Adam Leitman Bailey, and I cant say it enough, is his tenacity, is his friendship, his ability on keeping us up to date and aware on every legal change, every law that come into or expired and just keeping us on point to the best that we can be, That’s what keeps us coming back.
We meet with them in court, they run through the case, we can talk about it in the hallway, we can talk about it in court, and they tell me when I can talk and when I cant. They are great all around and don’t skip anything out of the facts, they follow up with texts, cell phone calls, emails. They just keep you abreast of the situation and keep you all informed. Again, they provide the results.
How would you describe Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.’s responsiveness?
It not only impresses me but it is something that I can’t do without. I need that. In what we do and a lot a folks in the real estate business will tell you, your dealing real time but also you need information as you almost demand it. So being able to call Chris, email Jamie, getting them on a quick call real fast just to say hey guys I have just had this thought regarding the case we had today these are the particulars, you guys no the situation what do you think? And when they say well get back to you in an hour let us just conference real quick, let us get Adam [Leitman Bailey] involved, lets call Dov [Treiman] they do it and they get back to you. To me that is the most precious thing is.
So the case is, and anybody knows, with a non payment you basically have a tenant who is not paying the land lord and it can go on, and it can not only become punitive for the land lord but it can become prohibitive and it can take down a building. When someone has a building which is a case that we did like we did, when you have four, five, six tenants not paying rent going on for to or three, four years for any reason it can become prohibitive, it can cost you your mortgage and you could loose a building at the end of the day. This is where Adam [Leitman Bailey] will step in, he will come in as a negotiator. I have been down in the offices, conference rooms right behind us. Well will have 12 tenants at the table with their councilors. Before anything starts Adam [Leitman Bailey] lays down the law, he is the sheriff in town. This is how it is going to be, this is how it’s going to play out. We go through all the facts because we want to be to fair landlords, we pride ourselves in being fair and kind to everyone. But at the end of the day, when somebody is in an apartment there are certain rules and regulations they need to follow and Adam [Leitman Bailey] ensures that’s what happens.
How would you describe your business now after having Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. as your legal representation?
Its on the rise, its been unbelievable since that relationship started, we treasure that relationship, repositioning the buildings has been super good for us. We anticipate that it will continue to be so.
